Yoga Schedule

Monday:

      1. typically my day off, but potentially available for private sessions

Tuesday:

      1. available for private sessions
      2. 2:30 – 4 pm: Wellness Yoga, Shasta Community Health Center: 1035 Placer St, 3rd floor
        • A free therapeutic yoga class for those who are more able-bodied or have been attending for awhile and want more physical exercise. This class will offer more movement, balance poses, stretches, and strengthening exercises while still incorporating the meditation and breathing exercies true to a traditional yoga practice. Accommodations given.
      3. 7:00 – 8:15 pm: Yin Yoga, Balance Yoga Center
        • Yin Yoga directs the asana practice into the connective tissues, ligaments, and joints which are not exercised very much in an active (or yang) asana practice. Suitable for nearly all levels of students, yin yoga is a perfect compliment to the dynamic and muscular (yang) yoga practice that emphasizes internal heat, alignment, and lengthening and contracting of muscles. This style isn’t about changing and pushing ourselves like a yang class, but instead, the yin style allows for a gentle and quiet power to arise facilitating a deep release of healing. Yin yoga helps to regulate the body’s energy and allows for a deeper connection of mind, body, and spirit.

Wednesday:

      1. available for private sessions

Thursday:

      1. available for private sessions
      2. 2:30 – 4 pm: Wellness Yoga, Shasta Community Health Center: 1035 Placer St, 3rd floor
        • A free therapeutic yoga class for those who need a less active practice and know that through gentle, quieter, and calmer activity our body, mind, and spirit’s can heal and rejuvenate. This class will offer more yin, restorative, joint freeing, meditatve, breath, and yoga nidra work.
      3. 6:45 – 8:00 pm: Yoga Nidra & Restore, Balance Yoga Center
        • In this is a deeply healing practice we will slow down, relax, and rest deeply and completely with a 30-minute Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) and the long held, gentle, easy stretches in Restorative Yoga.
        • It is proven that deep relaxation benefits all the systems of the body: improving immune function, digestion, fertility, detoxification and elimination, as well as reducing high blood pressure, stress, muscle tension, and general fatigue.
        • Join for a night of recharge for our bodys and souls.

Friday:

      1. available for private sessions

Saturday:

      1. available for private sessions
      2. 10:00 – 11:15 am: Warm Healing Flow, Balance Yoga
        • This is yoga designed around you, your body, and your needs, wants, and goals. This could be slow and meditative with time given to workshop out more advanced poses, we might flow through some Vinyasa‘s to stimulate lymph, and/or work on stretching and strengthening specific areas of the body as needed, utilizing plyometrics to keep the muscles guessing and growing. This is a therapeutic class, similar to a private yoga therapy session, in a room heated to 80-85 degrees to increase circulation, blood and nutrient flow and flexibility, while getting the benefits of the far infrared light rays. With hands-on assists, Pranayama, and time to ask questions, we will weave meditation through the entirety of the practice, quit the rushing and slow down. Come feel, breathe, and experience, Life, now, and practice being present on the mat to make this tangible in our everyday lives.
        • You’ll leave this class feeling more whole, centered, and grounded, connected to Self, each other, and the Divine.
