        • A mid-day break to refresh, calm, and clear the mind: meditations designed for beginners, experts, and everyone in between.
        • October 7th – December 30th with no classes the week of 12/23.
      3. 6:15 – 7:30 pm: Warm Vinyasa Flow (Level 1-2), Balance Yoga Center

You can expect to stretch and strengthen your body in a class designed to accommodate both beginners and experienced practitioners.
        • Vinyasa has many benefits: expelling toxins and re-energizing the body and the synchronized breathing relaxes the mind, all designed to help release blockages of energy within the body.

Tuesday:

      1. available for private sessions
      2. 2:30 – 4 pm: Wellness Yoga, Shasta Community Health Center: 1035 Placer St, 3rd floor
        • A free therapeutic yoga class for those who are more able-bodied or have been attending for awhile and want more physical exercise. This class will offer more movement, balance poses, stretches, and strengthening exercises while still incorporating the meditation and breathing exercies true to a traditional yoga practice. Accommodations given.
      3. 7:00 – 8:15 pm: Yin Yoga, Balance Yoga Center
        • Yin Yoga directs the asana practice into the connective tissues, ligaments, and joints which are not exercised very much in an active (or yang) asana practice. Suitable for nearly all levels of students, yin yoga is a perfect compliment to the dynamic and muscular (yang) yoga practice that emphasizes internal heat, alignment, and lengthening and contracting of muscles. This style isn’t about changing and pushing ourselves like a yang class, but instead, the yin style allows for a gentle and quiet power to arise facilitating a deep release of healing. Yin yoga helps to regulate the body’s energy and allows for a deeper connection of mind, body, and spirit.
