Since moving a few weeks ago, this 👆🏼 has entered my life and is looking to continue. 👏🏼 So far I’ve got strawberries, aloe, celery, lavender, my long time succulents, a snake plant for my new Private Yoga Therapy Studio and the bamboo I’ve had. I’m planning out the compost bin, and once my potatoes sprout, I’ll use their eyes for year-round container growing. I want to start some cocktail grapefruit trees from the seeds of one I got from @gatherredding , just to experiment... I’m planting, and playing, and in more ways than one. Spring is here! 🌱 💖 💪🏽 .

Time is an illusion, and the best things take a lot of it. As I remind myself, I’ll share it with you: let’s slow down, let’s tune in to our body’s, let’s feel Mother Earth, let’s wait for the best scenario to appear... this doesn’t mean we do nothing, but what it does mean, is that we pause every now and again, take a deep breath, and remember there are no quick fixes, no matter what advertisers say, change is the constant, so what worked yesterday, may not today. You need to brush your teeth every day, right? Nothing is ever done. And, things are perfect just as they are, now. Tension comes and goes, thoughts come in and go out, breath enters and exits. This is life. It’s always changing. And time is just a tool we humans use to measure and communicate. Let’s do and rest, go and stop, inhale and exhale, your body and the situations in your life will help and show you when to make the next right decision. It’s all good, and we’re all in this together. .

When I first started regularly practicing yin yoga, I wanted to crawl out of my skin, I was so antsy, so bored, so wanting to DO something!! 😬 I’m feeling a bit like that with my life right now, I have no @onwateryoga fun to distract me, no travel trips in the near future, no big workshops or retreats planned, it’s just the routine of life and slow and steady healing.... 🤤 With this slowness, I’m facing parts of myself that I haven’t been ready for, until now, I’m taking time to let emotional wounds heal, I’m practicing feeling my emotions and letting them pass through, noticing where I’ve been holding on and extending kindness to myself, knowing that i am and have done the best I can/could. I feel anxious and sad at times and overwhelmed at others, antsy, bored, and stressed. Because I have practiced yin yoga for so long now, I know that this is just a “moment” in my life, a chapter, it will pass, I’ve practiced this time and time and time again, and I’ve always come out better for it. So, I’ll sit in the discomfort now, for the long term gain of health, healing, and wholeness, because I’ve seen, through yin yoga in particular, that time and time and time again, I gain freedom, clarity, flexibility, and even strength through the pause, the slow, the waiting, the boring, and feel so much better because I do... I will sit still now so I’m no longer running from the past, because the time is now to do so. .
