👆🏼such a timely find as I’ve been teaching on this, studying Tantric philosophy about, facing my own inevitable death as a human being on a finite planet, & as the cat I’ve been taking care of stopped eating & drinking, became sick, & was put down on Monday. 😢 .

Death is something that is a natural and normal as breath, & yet there’s such a stigma & fear around it here in the US, it’s like people try to avoid it at all costs, not even wanting to talk about it. It’s going to happen. We know not the hour. So, as I’ve been facing my own deep fears about it over these past few weeks, healing from some past traumas around it’s reality, I’ve been gaining a freedom. A freedom from the contraction, fear, & pain that is literally causing tightness in my body. I don’t say it’s easy, but it’s worth it. I have pain now, that Spirit has revealed to me that’s in part due to my fears of dying, so, as I’ve mustered the courage to go there, I find that it builds & the rewards are felt & seen. .

Ah death, ah life: @onwateryoga I let go of attachment, identity to, identity from, & let you breathe & blossom in your own timing. 👈🏼 So, although I am still taking one moment at a time with regular, scheduled group classes, I am continuing to offer Private SUP Yoga events. Yoga means union and was designed to be more than just a physical exercise. That is why so many think of it as a religion, but it’s not that, your faith can be in whatever or whoever or nothing. What yoga unites is the physical body, the mind, and the spirit/soul/emotions. Originally designed to be an opportunity to notice where we are tense or weak, or overdeveloped, etc. so as to shine a light on what we may be avoiding, or compensating for, or holding on to, or using as self protection and defense, revealing those areas within us that need love and kindness and our healing attention. The physical body acts as a catalyst into the spiritual, mental and emotional world, not to say that what we’ve done in the past is wrong, but to allow awareness to come and give way for choice to decide how we want to move forward. The slowing down, the meditation, the breathing helping to show much the same thing, but from a different perspective. Like tools in a toolbox, each has their place and use to unify and harmonize us on this earth side journey, making it that much more enjoyable and fun. .

I personally teach how I long to be taught: someone to come along side of me, read those areas I hide, discern if I’m ready and able to face them, assist in my development and release of past trauma’s, coping skills, and attachments, and in a kind, gentle, loving, supportive way. Someone cheering me on, laughing at my jokes, understanding my pure heart and intention, all for the greater good of myself, and our world. .

I believe so strongly that each of us are doing the best that we can, given the circumstances and situations in which we find ourselves, and that comes out in my work. There’s no judgement. I’ve been there. We’re in this together, and together, we can go farther, faster, and be stronger, freer, better able to enjoy the ride. 🤙🏼 .
